Moved my running out west

After nearly twenty years of running in the flat heat of Florida, I've taken my running endeavors west to Colorado. It's a huge change, but I'm really enjoying the hills and views as I run around Anthem Highlands.

I think we may run in the Denver Broncos 7K next month. I have some work to do to get there.

What's a blog again???

The good news is that I'm still running, just about every day. I gave up running with my Garmin some time ago, when I made a decision that running is for my enjoyment and a chance for me to check out for a while. I know my loops well and can tell if I'm on or off pace and I reached a point that tracking every mile just wasn't important to me anymore.

Of course, this blog has been abandoned for years. Partly due to my running routine, which I have been able to maintain, but mostly due to Facebook. Once I logged onto FB, all of my blogs suffered. It's a shame, because even nine years later, I still find motivation in reading my old posts here. I haven't found a way to efficiently search my posts a FB and feel like my history is a big jumbled mess over there. I actually came back over here, because a friend asked some questions about starting out as a runner. One comment I made to him, was that a journal helped me. It's very true, and kind of sad that I've let my journal sit idle for so long. It's getting warm outside now and soon we will be into the most miserable time of the year for me, as a runner, in Florida. Fortunately, I have experience, and some old motivating posts to help me along the way.
